Using the calendar on a mobile phone, during trips

->> I know there are a lot of people here who travel quite a bit, and I'm wondering what the best way is to enter your travel settings into a mobile phone. Let's say you leave a city on EST, fly into California, then fly out to Asia. Perhaps you'll be on three or four different airline flights.
Do you enter the flight times as listed on your trip schedule (which is based on local time) or do you convert them to compensate for the time changes?
I used to use a Nokia n95 with a Symbian operating system. Now I'm using a Samsung i900 Omnia, which is Windows based. I do the automated "sync" with my laptop.
The Samsung has two options for time, which effectively are "home" and "away". I like to leave the "home" time unchanged, and when I'm traveling I'll update the time setting for "away" to whatever the local time is. I think that's supposed to happen automatically, but that doesn't seem to work all over.
Different phones may handle this differently, so maybe there is no single answer, but I thought I'd ask here in case someone has a good way of doing this. |
