->> Does anyone know if you can load the settings from the D3 onto a card and load them onto the D300s? Will it work?

->> D, I know this was available with the D2X and D300. I've never heard it with the D3 and D300S as of yet and not at all with the D300.

->> I've seen a tutorial on migrating D3 settings between like cameras, but I'd suspect you'll need to do a modified sneaker-net transfer between a D3 and D300s
Why not give the NPS folks a call?

->> To be able to load settings, the cameras need to be using the same firmware version. Even D3 to D3, the firmware needs to match. That said, you most likely cannot load settings from a D3 to a D300s, since the firmware is different.

I ended up spending less than 10 min "visually" matching settings from my D3's to a D3x... Not too big a deal, but I know it would be nice to just "load settings" instead..

Once you have everything set, I suggest saving the settings file to your computer... this way, you have them ready to go should something go wrong or you send a body off for service. Be sure you "re-save" the settings should you update the firmware. I save each of my camera's settings separately, since I have minor tweaks for each.
