Working for Special Olympics?

->> Have any of you shot for Special Olympics? (Not Paralympics)...
I was asked if I'd like to shoot for the PA group... I'm just asking for insight in dealing with the group, if you have... this could be a major shoot for me, and I don't want to screw it up...

I will be freelancing for them... Any one interested in discussing this; shoot me an e-mail... I have a meeting with the director, Monday... and would like your thoughts...

->> Hey Rich! I'm originally from Phoenixville (I went to Owen J). Which Special Olympics are you talking about? I believe they have varying levels, as I shot the Chester County Special Olympics a few years ago to cover the kids from OJR and for the Mercury. As far as I remember, it was a fun event and everyone was very friendly. Perhaps just talk with them about what they're looking for and what the photos will be used for before asking for a certain price.

->> Thanks Matt...
I got many e-mails from helpful sports shooters... After talking with the director today, I find there are budgeted and non-budgeted events... The one in question coming up in October is a non-budgeted event...

They where very friendly and VERY impressed with my portfolio...
He's clearing things up with the head boss for access and such; every thing is moving along nicely... and a small fee just to cover travel seems to not be a problem.

Matt, as I see it this is one of heir major level events, not a kids only or kids level event... So we are talking all different age levels and many different kinds of sports. The shoot is for Special Olympics PA, not just Special Olympics local.

Thanks for all your helps guys that have e-mailed me!...
