->> I'm shooting the game for our paper and this is my first NFL game.
I've been reading all the threads/articles from the SS archives and feel like I have good handle on that stuff, but are there any other, little tips I may want to know for the game and shooting at Oakland?
I'm planning on getting there with plenty of time before the game and am in contact with the media coord. in Oakland and not too worried about shooting the game, but tips are always appreciated.
Who's all shooting it? I'd love to meet up with some other SS members before and maybe grab a bite somewhere.
Thanks a bunch,
~ nic |

->> Ah Oakland, one of the two stadiums I deliberately avoid shooting at.
This is meant as no disrespect to the citizens and fans of Oakland, but you'll be shooting in one of the most hostile environments in the league. From the fans to the on field security, your patience will be tried. It's so bad that I believe someone wrote an article about Oakland specifically for the newsletter or a feature about two years ago.
A few things to keep in mind. Kneel in the endzone of face the wrath of the fans. Don't get near the cheerleaders or face the wrath of the fans. Don't encroach on the dotted line or face the wrath of the yellow jackets.
Other than that, try to shoot backlit. The fans being in the shadows and wearing black give a pretty nice background if you underexpose by about 1/3-2/3 stops. |

| ->> the worst guard who destroyed many shots if you were over the line is long gone. Do not walk through the cheerleaders but around them, Other then that pretty much the same as any other place. David |

| ->> Just be happy it isn't a night game. The last time I was there it was unreal how poor and spotty the lighting was. It's been quite a few years so hopefully they've improved the lights. |

->> Ben- HA! Yea thats the article - from 2005! Man time is starting to fly for me.
I stopped shooting there in 2005 because I was sick of it. If things are better now, do advise. |

| ->> I didn't say this but I heard you should smoke a lot of weed, run through the cheerleaders, grab a handful and tell the cops you are Jim Gund. You'll never have to go back. You're welcome. |

->> Last call, I guess, anyone going to be there tonight?
Season opener, hopefully the Raider's can save a little face for their fans.
Anyone I should look for?
