->> I've seen many samples of the ball/bat on fire shot for seniors, and read different tutorials on how to do it.
I'm shooting my nephew's senior portraits soon. He participates in track and cross countrys and I was thinking of doing something along the lines of spikes on fire.
Obviously he won't be wearing them - just holding them up. I was thinking one shot with the flame, then having him blow out the flame and capturing the smoke coming up.
I am going to test this with some old shoes of mine first but I was curious if anyone has tried this and if there were any special considerations around controlling the flame, especially since the shoes are not leather. |

| ->> Just don't use any synthetic leather or other plastic based materials that will melt/ignite. |

| ->> Is there anything I can spray on the shoes ahead of time to help fire proof/retard them? |

| ->> get on eBay or Craig's list and buy an old pair of track shoes for next to nothing, that way you don't ruin a good/expensive pair. |
