->> I am interested in making a nice hardcover photo book for a formal event. Nothing too fancy but something that the family will enjoy sharing with their friends and family members. Can someone offer some suggestions? Specifically, I'd like between 20 and 40 pages, various sizes and easy to prepare. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Additionally, if there's a thread already out there on this topic, by all means, feel free to point me in the right direction.

->> Check out Blurb.com. The quality is surprisingly good. I've had two books made through them.... Can be 10 pages or 100 or more. Many different sizes. Easy layout through their templates.....

->> Thanks! I was leaning toward Blurb.com, but wanted a little more input. Is it user friendly from your experiences? I just want to upload, make a few adjustments and send it to print with little hassle. Your thoughts?

->> Consider Mpix.com, I've done 2 books and been very satisfied. Templates seemed more moldable for my needs as opposed to mypublisher or blurb if I remember.

->> Check out White House Custom Color (whcc.com) - a truly amazing lab, super quick turn around, and great results. I've done several books through them, and they look great. Lots of options. They also do great large prints, and will mount them for you.

->> Dirk-
Take a look at AdoramaPix.com, quality is superb, plus there's a 25% off coupon in the SportsShooter.com store. The online interface is fantastic! |

->> I recently uploaded 3 books on Mpix (the suede hardcover version) and was extremely pleased. You may also want to check out the Mpix Pro version as they have a new product in which the pages lay flat so you cfan do 2 page full bleed images.

->> I'm a Blurb user. The total hassle free way to go is to layout your pages in CS or InDesign to the page size you want. Then save the file as a PDF, upload, pay and wait for the book to be delivered.

->> WHCC, has these books, but tbh, you can use BlackRiverImaging.com and have a much easier interface, with superb quality and much more options for design templates if you choose to use that route. They sort of make WHCC's ordering look like grade school by comparison. Additionally, if you want something a step up from that zookbinders new photobook plus is even nicer. Leather and photo cover combos...no gutter, nicely done.
