Out of your comfort zone...
Martin McNeil, Photographer

->> A few days ago I was asked to cover the Braemar Highland Games - an assignment I readily accepted although it was the type of subject I'd never shot before. As I sit here typing after the fact I'm slightly dazed by my "trial by fire" - being completely out of my comfort zone and hoping that I nailed decent results (shots are on my member page if you want to critique them!)

So it led me to thinking - what assignments have you undertaken that have been way out of your comfort zone - a sport, subject or situation that you've perhaps never tackled before or maybe hadn't had the inclination to do so?

->> Stake out assignments always put me out of my comfort zone. I always get nervous having to wait somewhere for hours and then have to really quickly react and have about 3 seconds to get a decent shot. I don't know if I'd ever become comfortable shooting that stuff.
