->> Hi Shaun, I love the products from Waterfield (http://www.sfbags.com/)
I have a laptop sleeve I've had for years that have dragged along by 15" Powerbook, 15" Macbook Pro, 13" Macbooks. I prefer a sleeve because I can put it and the laptop many different bags or on the front of a Think Tank Airport series luggage case. |

->> Ditto on the Artificial Intelligence. If you don't need to bring a ton of stuff with you, it's ideal. Very slim, easy to pack, has enough space for the essentials, and well built of course.

->> Hey guys,
Thanks for the feedback. I think I can probably get away with a sleeve like the ThinkTank AI... I have a bag (newish) for day to day use without the computer in it. The AI is pretty affordable and I can always buy a second bag in the future.
I do like the Pac-Safe idea, first saw them with their motorcycle line of equipment which has locks and slash proof features built in, which could be nice at certain venues.Plus I have a 20% coupon for their local distributor.
Kirby... sfbags look real nice... I'm going to have to bookmark that page.
Thanks! Shaun. |

->> Hey Shaun, check out Tom Bihn, they are a bag company out of Seattle, Wa. It's a pretty cool company, they are not photography related bags, but the protection of their laptop inserts is pretty amazing. I have their brain bag with the vertical brain cell (laptop insert) and even though it wasn't cheap I have been super-duper satisfied. I usually don't plug companies for their products but I am really satisfied with their offerings.

Good luck in your search.

| ->> Two thumbs up for all the Think Tank products. I have a lot of their gear and use them for all different situations. For my 17" MBP I use an Artificial Intelligence 17 (standalone and with Airport Security v2.0), Urban Disguise 60, and most recently the Shape Shifter. They're all working well for me, but I'm really liking the Shape Shifter. |

->> More great choices.... I know I'm going to start with the Artificial Intelligence, then build from there. The MBP fits in my Swissgear bag but it's not ideal.
Jed... that Tom Bihn line looks super nice!
Thanks everyone! |

->> I'd second the recommendation on the Think Tank Shape Shifter.
It even fits my Lenovo W700 which I know is bigger than a 17" Mac. |
