| ->> Long story short I have focus problems with this camera sent it to Canon NJ , recvd It and I would say 75% of my basketball photos were out of focus , either front focus or rear focus, I was shooting ASA 1000 2.8 at 500ss using 70 200 mm then switched to my 300mm 2.8 at 500 ss the same the only way I got decent shots was with the back focus button using custom function 4 at 1, has any one had this type of problem and what settings are you putting on the camera I tried the SI settings and to no avail, I have Center focus using AI servo, I have used the one shot an all other combinations etc. I am really upset with this camera and have told Canon about it do u think I have a lemon or is it the lens are they any ways to calibrate focus I wrote about this issue back in May 27 2009 Same results. What is funny when I’m shooting thru the view finder you see everything is focus it’s when you see the final results it’s when you go crazy. I wished I lived close to Bert, he said “ When I was using Canon I felt that the IIn produced the sharpest images and had the most consistent AF performance out of all of their DSLRs I used---especially compared to the 1D Mark III.”I probably shld send it to him he can probably put this lemon in shape or make lemonade out of it. |
