->> PJ, thanks, that was worth the read. To see the porn business equated to photography was great! and the best quote ever,
"It never crossed our minds that we'd be competing with people who just give it away for free."Bill Asher, co-chairman of adult industry giant Vivid Entertainment, who estimates that his company's revenue is down more than 20% this year.
what a crazy whacked out world we live in! |

->> It's sad to read about Annie and I wish I could say her situation was unique but it isn't. Way too many folks spent like there was no tomorrow.
If you ever wondered how some people did it - fancy cars and homes, the best of everything - now you know how some of them did do it - they borrowed.
Ms. Stern is luckier than Annie in one respect: She's learned at a much younger age the value of saving. I feel terrible for Annie and hope that someone can wrestle control of her finances from her and straighten things out. Given some time and some financial controls she can work her way out of this mess. |

->> You really don't want to have a rare or difficult medical situation if you have this insurance company. Trust me on that. I had a 4" long spinal cord tumor (very, very rare) removed 19 years ago which, unfortunately for me has a moderate risk of regrowth without regard to length of time since removal. Thanks to that, I've had my own battles with Cigna who wouldn't approve an MRI or a referral to a neurosurgeon. I finally had to go back to my original insurance carrier (carried two different policies for about two years) so I could go back to my original surgeon to get the care I needed. Thankfully, no tumor regrowth, just a couple ruptured discs at the previous surgery site, which was really good news.
Since reading Steve's story brought back so many of my own battles with Cigna, I gladly donated. I only wish I was in a position to donate more than I did.
