->> I'm looking for a rolling case that is strong enough to stand on and flat end to sit on in upright position. Does not have to fit under seat on airplane.

->> I bought a Calumet hard case that my bag can fit in. It was able to support my weight without a problem. It's wheeled and weather tight for those times that I have to throw it in the bed of the truck.

->> It sounds like a flight case is what you are looking for, as long as you don't mind it being heavy.

->> I second Pelican cases. I weigh 240 and it easily takes my weight. It can supposedly be run over by a truck and survive. I have not tried it...

->> Pelican 1650 with Pick and Pluck inside. AWESOME. I used to lug everything around. Has wheels. Sturdy. It holds me, really, nuff said there. You can fit EVERYTHING in it. I no longer feel like a sherpa at Mt. Everest when I go from the inevitably remote press parking lot to the press entrance (Yes, that is you Lincoln Financial Field!!!!!!).
