After several emails to the sellers some of the lens are anywhere from 3-4 years old. I noticed on most of the auctions they have stated, "This new lens does what many pros thought Couldn't be done - replace the previous L-series 28-70 f/2.8 lens with something even better." When was that lens replaced with the new lens? If I bid on a lens that was purchased new back in 2004, is that considered the old style lens or the new lens? There have been some subtle alterations over the years, but overall the lens has been the same since its introduction in 2002.
