Slightly OT: Camera sans the photographer

It's called the party shot, it has a little turning platform, and uses face and smile detection to locate and track subjects to take pictures. Yeah that's right: don't take your own party pictures anymore, let the camera do it for you. Though to be honest, for a party, I could actually see that being a lot of fun. You know, the morning after.
Not to mention, this would probably equate to far more candid shots than usually turn out of party pictures. |

->> I find this interesting - I am currently doing an internship with the Gigapan Camera System, and it seems to do the same sort of thing - not with panoramic pictures but with smiles.
It's amazing how much similar it is, and that Sony has been able to mass produce it like this. A small tweak in the technology and this could probably do large-scale panoramic pictures too.
