Thanks for the post-It reminds me that we should all think outside the box when it come to events like this. |

| ->> Andrew, I agree. Obviously the couple spoke this over with the minister (who was laughing and clapping at the end). It's not like it was a spur of the moment decision. Isn't a church a place you're supposedly "celebrate life"? Most weddings look like friggin funerals, the difference being people dress in brighter colors for a wedding. These folks looked seriously happy, I applaud them for it. |

->> Chuck L:
I agree.. I can only imagine what the rehearsal was like..
A lot of modern/progressive churches or places of worship could be mistaken for religious rock/pop concerts. The reason for such an upbeat setting is to attract and keep younger members.
I know such a scene would never happen at the Southern Baptist church down the street from me, but at the non-denominational Life Church across the street?? It wouldn't surprise me if they had lively ceremonies.. |

| ->> I would wonder what the honeymoon was like if this was the wedding! Too many "places of worship" are dull and boring, good for them and the minister (a relative of the couple) for bringing some life into the wedding! |

->> Ok, that just LOOKED like A LOT of fun. What will be shocking for many is the break in "tradition" i.e. - pre-requisite "here comes the bride" music, quiet reverance, preservation of the sanctity of marriage, etc. which can be interpreted as being disrespectful in a place of worship. It's undetermined the denomination of the church where the ceremony was held, so it's all debatable as to whether they disrespected anyone's tradition or church ceremony ethics. Besides all of the judgment anyone might pass on this couple, it was THEIR wedding and a memorable one for sure. One thing is for certain - they just started a new tradition which many are certain to follow.
This 1st dance reception video also reminds me of this latest walk down the aisle video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMhw02Qte30
Kudos to the couple, their wedding party, their guests, and everyone that honored their wishes to have a fun ceremony. |

| ->> I never get tired of this video. Church has changed alot compared to the times we went as kids. There is no way you would dance like this video. I went to a black Southern Baptist church. You did not think to wear pants either but now it is acceptable to go business casual or even in jeans to some churches. The kids even now put on little dance/step routines in church. I love watching that video. I use to say the best of a wedding was the cake, but here the best part was the entrance (and probably the cake). |

| ->> That is one great video but I could not help but notice that the still photographer just appeared not to be engaged with the action coming down the aisle. That would have been a hell of a blast to shoot that and just because of that I would have hired two assistants and maybe even set up some remotes. Heck, if the church and priest allowed ThAT, what would be setting up some remotes in there - a piece of pie. I had fun watching it and wishing I could have shot that church entrance. |
