Is getting a 16X9 video possible on my SS page?

->> Hi,

I'm hoping someone has had some success with getting a 16X9 video on their page and can help me out with my page.

I just updated the page including one video and frame grabs and it's cropping the video to what looks like 4X3. I shot it in 16X9 and would love to have it that way on my page.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Eric

->> thanks man,
I did try that and it just distorts the video. Even went of FCP and quicktime forums trying to look for info and had no luck.

->> You could output a 16:9 QuickTime .mov file then import it back into iMovie and have that set-up to letterbox it. Then it should be 4:3 but have the 16:9 video with black letterbox bars on the top and bottom. Might have to download the older iMovie HD to do this. I remember importing some 720p HD video once into iMovie HD and with the settings I had it letterbox it.

Then you export this letterboxed movie in QuickTime format to upload.

There should be a way to do it in FCP by setting up your output format, but iMovie HD might just be plain easier to figure out.

->> Thanks for your tip Baron I'll try that today.

If you ever want to switch job locations for a couple of weeks let me know, Detroit's no Hawaii but we do have some sand and water somewhere around here so perhaps it would remind you of home :)

->> Yep it worked great Baron, it's a very tiny view player but at least it's not cropping anymore, thanks again
