->> I'm shopping around right now to insure my still and video equipment. Most of the quotes I've gotten come back above 1k a year. Way to much. Is there a good company out there with reasonable rates for professional shooters?

->> Cost for equipment coverage is generally based on a cost per $100 of insured value. I'm currently paying $1.26/per $100 for full replacement cost.

When you say you're quotes are over 1K how much equipment are you covering??? What's the cost per $100 of insured value?

I'm also assuming your quote does not include general liability for injury or property damage.

->> Check out State Farm...
Find a local State Farm rep and tell him everything about your job... and what the gear is used for. I've done that and I have great replacement insurance for all of my gear.
Not very expensive either...
Walt

Oh, and I've had to use it twice in the last three years... No hassel, quick to pay, very very good to work with knowing this.
