PC/MAC Hard Drive compatibility

->> You can format the portable to FAT32 in either Windows or OSX. The limitation being that FAT32 doesn't support files greater than 4GB in size. But you will be able to read and write to the drive from both Windows and OSX.
OSX can read from NTFS, and there are ways to enable NTFS writing, but I'd be wary of doing that. If you're source machine is a PC, and you don't need to transfer files from a secondary Mac to the portable drive, I'd format said portable NTFS. |
