->> Hey guys - my wife and I had our first child over the weekend and after I had loaded a few of the photos on our computer to preview, she formatted the card - back when I was shooting full time I had a program called Image Rescue, or something like that - anyone have any ideas on how to get the images back???

Any help is appreciated - I looked through the archives, but couldn't find what I was looking for....thanks so much!! kyle

->> I like PhotoRescue.

You can download a trial version and see it it will find your data. If it does, you then you have to buy the full version to actually recover.

For the money ($30 or so) it's worth ever penny when the situation you just described happens

->> Kyle,
Some of the card companies also load a rescue program onto new cards. A quick trip to Walgreen's for diapers, formula and a CF card might be in order.
Also - congrats Dad
