16-35l fell apart !%$!@%

| ->> I need to vent because I am really pissed right now. I have babied this lens and it has no scratches on the barrel. Recently I noticed a weird softening on the edges of images and didn't know what to make of it. Yesterday I went out to do some landscape and I realize when I'm zooming in and out the front lens element is hitting my UV filter. I remove the UV filter and the front glass element just fell completely off and now has a big scratch from hitting a rock. The plastic piece that held it in place just came completely unglued. WTFFF??? I thought this was an L glass lens with supposedly superior build quality and some plastic piece becomes unglued and just falls off. This is absurd. Now I'll go complain to canon and hope they'll offer to repair it though I'm not counting on it. :/ |
