->> For one thing, I believe that the HVX-205 is the Japanese version of the HVX-200. So be clear as to which one you are looking for, as I am sure that you will run into the potential of dealing with a menu that is in Japanese with the 205. If it is the 200 that you looking at, then you are looking at a very good camera that has a lot of great potential, if used properly. Straight out of the box, it captures nice video, however if you are considering using it to its fullest, look at getting a 35mm adapter (RedRock M2 or equivalent). I believe that you have to use the files with FCP, and am not sure if they are usable in FCE or not. Unless you are on PC then, as far as I know Adobe Premiere works too, but don't hold me to it. There are also some third party companies that offer conversion applications too (P2 Capture Pro is one of them).

->> Wow $6,000 for the kit? Had no idea it was that expensive.
I have an HVX-200 and would love to test out the M2 but I doubt one can rent them in Detroit.

->> It gives the very same result. Attaching a 35mm lens to a camera that normally doesn't accept it.

->> for $198 a week it's worth renting and trying it out before deciding to buy one if I go that route. Thanks again for the info
