->> I have finally gotten my WHOLE photo collection catalogued and Keyworded, and trying to figure how I might use the stars, color bars and such, and wondered if ya'll would chime in on how you use them.
I have the DAM book, and while his usage is good, I feel like I might need a different way of doing it. The stars I do pretty good picking my okay photos from my great photos, but trying to figure out how I want to use the color bars, and I don't even use the flags. I had a system for awhile, but didn't really like it, and didn't stay dedicated to it, so got it all confused.
I just wanted to see if anyone has a fresh take on using them.
Thanks! |

->> I color tag on a big project. from first edit to last, I go up in color as I progress through the edit.
I'm not sure how I would use the stars or colors in a catalog though. Maybe assign categories or keywords that are significant to you or your business. Released, release pending, no release needed...just thinking out loud. |

| ->> I know of some people, myself included, who are using the colors for photos that are currently licensed. One color for a managed license, and one for an exclusive license, so I know not to sell that photo to anyone else. |
