->> Most external burners will work with a mac/PC.

Depending on the software. NERO and Toast have yet to fail me on burning disks even from the most obscure brands.

Which one are you thinking of purchasing Debra?

They will probably have the best prices and have good reviews for you. Good luck!

I got an ASUS DVD/CD burner yesterday-it didn't come with Nero or Toast (I remember my old one did)
I think it may go back and I will try OWC.

->> Debra --- I assume your Mac is running OS X, so if you're burning just data, you can do this via the Finder by creating a "Burn Folder".

Personally I usually use Toast, but using OS X's disk burner feature works fine for data.

The OWC external burners are not "pretty" but are very functional, inexpensive and just plan work.

->> Thanks Robert,
yes, it is running OS X
I am going to try to burn a CD with it to see how I like it-it's reallt small which is the reason I bought it (travelling with the netbook and this small burner is nice)
