Using 5D Mark II charger overseas

->> Anyone used a US-bought 5D Mark II battery charger overseas? According to the fine print on the back of the charger it should be good for any voltage from 100-250 so I should just need a plug adapter and not a voltage converter, correct? I'd hate to find out the hard way that I'm wrong.

->> I haven't used a 5DM2 charger overseas, but I have used a BP511A charger and many other camera chargers, iPod chargers, etc in many countries in Europe, and it's never been an issue to skip a converter and just use a prong adapter.

->> I have used the 5D mkII chargers overseas frequently and they work fine. You just need to buy the little plug converter (you don't need a voltage adapter.) I have used the charger in Europe, Africa and SW Asia with no problems.

Cheers

->> ...i might be wrong, but a benefit of a charger is that it draws whatever is needed to charge, so it handles current variances better than say, an electric hairdryer.

->> Thanks...I did read that little fine print correctly then. I feel a little more at ease with some firsthand verification. My last few international trips I've been lucky that I've never needed to actually use a charger, but I know I'll be doing video with the 5DII and three batteries won't last without a recharge at least once.
