->> That is stunning news.. Steve McNair has family here on the Mississippi gulf coast and was involved in numerous community projects.

I can recall several years ago--the summer after the Tennessee Titans lost to the St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl--I was at the local shopping mall to check out the newest sportscards.

As I made my way through the mall, I passed by three big guys window shopping--I recognized McNair immediately. I don't know who the other two were.. Not another person at the local mall recognized them. I'm sure had the Titans won the Super Bowl, McNair would have been named the game's MVP.

McNair was well liked and devoted a lot of his off-season time to the community here along the coast. He was a guy who never forgot his roots. He will be missed.
