Some friends of mine, mostly photo/journalism interns, students, recent graduates and fans of photography are getting together on Saturday, July 11, in Orange, California. We are having dinner and drinks at Dave & Buster's starting at 9 p.m. Thus far we have a bunch of talented people from The Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, Cal State Fullerton and the traditional photo schools in the Midwest. We'd like to get more Brooks people and Chips Quinn Scholars too. The restaurant/arcade is located in The Block, a popular hangout in Orange County. If you are interested in joining us or have any questions, please contact me off-line.

->> This falls on a weekend, those of us that live here, most of us work covering events, games etc.. on weekends.
There have been get togethers in the past and they have been held during the week usually a thursday, to allow most to attend.
Just something to keep in mind for future gatherings. I have to cover an event so can not make it, have a great time. |

->> Really wish I could however I am listed to close at the dive shot this night. I am also prepping for an outing to El Mirage the following morning.
If there is another outing before July 27th, let me know. How about taking advantage of our coast and meeting up at the beach for a bon fire. Week days are much better for me, as Louis mentioned. Weekends are pretty much dedicated to work. |

Rafael, it's too bad you are not coming. I had a fun time with you at the SSA a couple of months ago. Anyway, if anybody can make it, please come and join the overworked and very thankful interns of Southern California as we'll need jobs in a couple of months.
