->> I will be at Laguna this weekend, I got my credential confirmation finally, don;t know about Vale winning though. Lets see if Mr Stoner is recovered from his sickness by the weekend.
*I predict Nicky to get on the podium if not win this weeknd actually. Regardless of the outcome, it will be a good race for sure. |

->> Always is!! I would be hitting USGP number II if it werent for my having given my time to the college to help acclimate incoming freshman into college life. Indianapolis is a short hop and a jump north. Would have been great to go back.
To bad F1 doesnt have two USGP's. I dont think that Laguna would be long enough to be interesting for F1 though. Its a fairly short track is it not? |

->> Valentino Rossi has shown he's the best rider with more skills because of the smaller 800cc engines....it takes more skills through turns than the raw power of 1000cc in the straights.
I wish Nicky well because of proud U.S.A. but, I'm an all time Rossi fan :) |

->> Andrew. You were AT that race? OMG. So jealous. WOW. Were people going nuts.
I can list how many times I have stood out of my chair while watching a motor race of any kind.
Brazilian GP 2008. Massa lost the F1 championship by one corner to Lewis Hamilton and the Spanish GP. I was standing fist pumping screaming. So awesome. What a race. |

->> What a great weekend. The talent of the riders is staggering in person. Nice to meet you Nic although briefly, I did not run into anyone else as far as I know. I put up a few of my favorites on my profile here.
I have to find a way to shoot the race in Czech now. |

->> Yeah, ditto Matt, pleasure to meet you as well.
Is it bad that I'm on board as a Rossi fan? That Lorenzo crash was gnarly...
All I want to do now is shoot Moto GP all year long... |

->> I became an Rossi fan pretty fast on Thursday. I like his goofball style, always joking around, he is great with his fans too, always took a minute to sign stuff. Plus meeting him in a hole in the wall mexican restaurant one night helped as well. Funny to watch one of the highest paid athletes in the world drink a bunch of Corona and have a few smokes on a race weekend.
Jamey, that thought already crossed my mind. The trick is getting to opportunity (time/money) to go back to Czech soon. By far my favorite place to relax or party. |

->> I would like to chase the same kind of route. Obviously the first step is getting your foot in the door.
Thats awesome you met him though! I love his style as well. Im a big F1 fan and the only guy close to performing his on track antics is Kimi Raikkonen who did a highly illegal burnout after the Belgian GP in 2007. It was awesome.
But Rossi is a personality and a unique rider and a darn good one to boot. I bought the DVD reviewing his career up til 2003 or something and he was such a small built, floppy haired kid. Its almost comical!
Anyway, I have really enjoyed all your photos from this weekend. Anyone going to try for the USGP at Indy in august? |

->> Laguna MotoGP is good, but I wish they'd drop the AMA support classes (give it it's own weekend) and have the other classes that typically support MotoGP. The track itself is so suited to 250's and 125's that to have the whole show would be wonderful.
It was nice meeting you as well Nic, especially that we're all local to boot...(including Mike D, Michael T, Stephen S to name but a couple)
Jamie, I'll be at Donington the week after next, then Brno, then Indy and then a few more rounds of GP and WSBK (the rounds that don't clash) after that...

->> It was great seeing so many friends and world-class shooters at the event (as always). It seemed that everyone had a good time while working hard and there were some *amazing* images created. I especially liked the shot that Orville Myers got of Jorge Lorenzo grimacing in absolute agony after the warm-up on race day, really capturing the story of the weekend in one image. That Lorenzo was able to race and ultimately podium (while unable to walk or raise his arm) is just incredible.
