->> No worries Scott. Just giving you some friendly needling.
Some good photographs were made by a handful of photographers under some difficult circumstances. |

->> I never met Ed Thomas. But when I heard the news yesterday my heart sank. Ed Thomas had that kind of impact.
When a good part of Parkersburg got leveled by a tornado about this time last year, including the high school and the football field, it was Ed Parker who said that they WOULD have the football field rebuilt in time for the first game.
Using a army of volunteers, they did it.
What Ed Thomas understood was that it wasn't just about rebuilding a football field, it was a symbol for all of Parkersburg to rebuild.
Ed got the job done. So did Parkersburg.
Ed Thomas was a teacher. He touched thousands of lives. To paraphrase Shakespeare, all of the good he did lives on.
I won't even try to understand why this had to happen.
God bless Ed Parker. God must have needed a good football coach, an even better teacher, and one of the best examples of what humans can accomplish. He got one in Ed.
RIP, Coach Thomas. |

->> I updated with a few old photos. Maybe after the funeral on Monday I will update with new photos. It is a very tragic, very hard on the community. One of our newsroom reporter's son was in the weight room when the shooting happened. His son is very traumatized.
