->> Anyone covering Tiger at the AT&T National pro-am?
How nice of them to change the policy this year and not allow anything besides P&S for the practice round and pro-am.
"Cameras ARE allowed on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 and Wednesday, July 1, 2009 ONLY. Please Note: Only Point-and-shoot style cameras are allowed. Professional looking cameras and equipment (long ranges lenses, tripods, etc.) will NOT be allowed."
The inaugural event was fun to attend and now they have ruined it for any photographer who doesn't have credentials for those 2 days. |

| ->> I think it more or less standard practice. No cameras allowed for spectators during the competition days and only P&S during the other days. |

->> Standard restriction for years - for the gallery.
Does not, and never has for credentialed media with armbands, unless something has changed drastically. |

| ->> Saddly I think it will... I go to a fair amount of sports as a fan. Hockey and football stadiums have already started to ban "Professional" cameras. It sucks because I have a EOS Rebel XT with a 100-300 lense that is only 5 inches. I used to be able to take it in and now I can't for most event. |
