->> I'm looking into getting either a Nikon 180mm 2.8 or a 300mm f4 for my D300
The majority of my business is youth sports, baseball and football. I currently have the 70-200 and 80-200 but I would like to get a prime.
What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your advise. |

->> 300
you already have the 70-200 (assuming it is 2.8) so the 180 is redundant

->> I own both of those lenses (180/2.8 & 300/4)
The 300 is the more-often used lens for me of the two.
I'd go with it as well as maybe getting a 1.4 tele. |

| ->> From the looks of the classifieds you've arrived at a decision. That said, I too think that the 300 is a better choice. |
