Marshall Gorby is still the king of spot news but we don't recommend that he becomes spot news. Luckily, the veterans were prepared with hoses.

Be careful out there, kids.

->> While filming Marshall accidentally stepped back onto one of the long sticks that the veterans use to prod the fire, and it was hot enough to light his shoes. He says that everyone is asking him, "Didn't you feel it?" and he says honestly, no.

One correction "...at flag burning ceremonies." "Flag burnings" are conducted by protesters, "Flag retirement ceremonies" are where old flags are properly and respectfully disposed of.
