->> The Western Kentucky University Photojournalism department is now accepting applications for the 2009 Mountain Workshops which will be held in Murray, KY Oct. 27-31. Once again we are offering three concurrent workshops: Photojournalism, Multimedia and Picture Editing.

The application for MWS '09 is posted at...

http://www.mountainworkshops.org/how-to-apply-for-the-mountain-workshops/

There is no application deadline but we do have a limited number of spots available.

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, lodging and food. Hotel rates for the workshops are about $60 and up and there are plenty of restaurants in the area (Murray is a college town). The closest major airport is in Nashville, TN. Participants, other than picture editing, must have their own transportation during the workshops.

Please contact the Workshops Coordinator Jim Bye if you have any questions. He can be reached at jim.bye@wku.edu.

->> Oooh, it just keeps getting better for those interested in learning multimedia at The Mountain Workshops, which will be held in Murray, KY Oct. 27-31!

Chad Stevens, of University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (and formerly of MediaStorm) and Bob Sacha, of MediaStorm will be two of the multimedia coaches for this year's multimedia division of the workshop - more names to come!

I'll keep updating as announcements become official.

Take care,

Fran
