| ->> Before I spend time making one, I thought I'd ask if anyone already has a file made for MLS? I've checked here and the few places the other files or generators are, and nothing current. |

->> Just going to have to do it yourself.
I wrote ones up for when I shot MLS. Doesn't take too much time with the rosters available online. |

->> Don't have Photo Mechanic. Don't shoot MLS. But I'm up for a challenge. Pulled the roster information from this site:
http://web.mlsnet.com/players/index.jsp?club=mls
A little bit of Excel work and this is the result:
http://www.davidameyer.com/extras/20090610_mls_rosters.txt
(Downloading will probably work best if you right click the the link to the text file and choose "Save As...)
I can't promise that it's up to date as I'm working from what the site above provided and I'm pretty sure soccer rosters have quite a bit of turnover. Also, there are a few players that do not have jersey numbers, so you may want to browse through and ensure it's accurate.
Let me know if you find mistakes. Hope it helps!
PS - Tim, I worked up a WPS version in similar fashion. You can get it here:

Same caveats apply. |

->> I just started doing this and I have a question.
I am using as the before and after, so when I am entering dc8 it replaces it with the player name, but after putting in the final it leaves that behind the replaced code. Is that normal?
So I end up with John Doe |

->> I should add so far I have done DC United, Real Salt Lake and Chicago if anyone wants it...
I am very new to this and I have only made code to put a name or a name and their number.
If you want it I am working on more teams as well..... |

->> Just thought I'd pass this info on as well. There is an app, for Mac, that allows you to use code replacement in any app, such as Lightroom, Aperture, bridge and so on.
It is call Typinator and is available here:
http://www.ergonis.com/products/typinator/
I use it with lightroom and it actually works better than PM code replacement feature as you don't have to type in a slash before you code just the code. |
