scanning 35mm

->> I have a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 and I want to scan some of my old 35mm slides into the digital realm. I want to scan them so they will look good even if eventually printed up to 13 X 19". I am running the 4.0 Nikon software. How large should my target file size be? Do I set that in the "keep this crop", "keep this file size" or "keep this output size" menu? Do I sharpen at this point or do that later in photoshop? Where can I save crop and rotation settings for batch scanning? Thanks for any help.

->> the native resolution at 300 dpi is just under 13 by 19 about 12 by 18. Always sharpen as the last step before printing.
