Hugo Jaeger: Hitler's Personal Photographer
Derek Montgomery, Photographer

->> I was sent this link by a friend and found it to be pretty fascinating. These are never before published photographs of Hitler during World War Two from photographer Hugo Jaeger.

One of the interesting parts about it is that he buried most of the transparencies into 12 glass jars in 1945 because he feared what the allies might do to him if they found them and his close connection to Hitler. He then returned years later to retrieve them and a vast majority were still in good shape.

He later sold the entire collection to LIFE where many of the images have yet to be published. Here's the link...

And here is a Hitler photography quote for good measure.

"The future," Hitler once said to Jaeger, "belongs to color photography."

But not to infrared... He also said, "Anyone who sees and paints a sky green and fields blue ought to be sterilized."
