That will make it easier. The number should be on the black part of the lens mount on the underside of it, not the silver-round part, but the black, flat part. It's hard to describe but look at the black area that protrudes from the body all the way from the prism to underneath neath silver ring mount. Looking at the camera from the front you should see two tiny screws just below the area that sticks out. The serial should be between these screws on the bottom of the flat part, shift the camera back and forth under the light to see -- it's very faint.  This post is:  Informative (0) | Funny (0) | Huh?
