Don't go on vacation. We've already discussed that here, and I pointed out it has to be tethered by USB which means you are limited on where you can put it. Whre do you put a computer on backboard? |

With the wireless transmitter this is all non-relevant as you can control with a computer from within the wireless distance.
A similar program could probably be done for tethering a Nikon to a computer USB and using Nikon control software without the WT.
The whole thing with this Canon software is it bypasses the WFT, which is $700 or more, which can be replaced with a $300 netbook -- but you have to tether USB so the computer has to be within 10-15 feet of the camera making it impractical for many remote situations.
As I asked before: where do you put a netbook on a backboard glass remote? |
