iPhone remote app for Canon DSLRs

->> Interesting idea but you can already do that without having a computer tethered by using a WFT. I think on many remote situations you can't really put a computer nearby or easily within USB distance limitations. (or want to leave a computer sitting there)

You can connect PTP and control the camera wirelessly with your computer without having a step in between.

That method doesn't let you make any changes to the set up. The nice thing about the one in the video and doing a computer PTP with the WFT is you have full control of f-stops, shutter speed and focus adjustment.

It's just in the one in the original link, I can't think of anywhere within about 10-15 feet you can put a computer for a regular game backboard camera, so I would opt for the WFT method and preferably hardwire for reliability.

You're right, having to leave a computer near the remote would almost make it unusable. I presume some out there would still find it beneficial though for specific needs.
