->> I love how places like the WH and NASA are really opening up their lives to pictures. I know it has been done, but it seems that they are allowing the public to follow through places like facebook, flickr, etc..

->> Not sure that I would classify a camera on a telescope as "most expensive remote ever" but the images are definitely awesome (as are images of ISS/shuttle lunar transit photos, such as the one at http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap061014.html ).
From what I understand, the photographer lives in France and knew this transit would be taking place ... however it couldn't be viewed from his hometown. Instead, he flew to Florida where the transit could be viewed. Pretty cool stuff. |
