I'm resizing photos for a Copyright Office CD, and I also need to delete the full size files off a portable hard drive. I've already uploaded the NEF files to my archive so I don't need these files on the Seagate. I have one file that will not delete because it is a locked file. This will save you hours of unchecking images individually if you have many locked images. Jon's right, you can lock the image by using a viewing program (like Photomechanic) or while pressing the lock button on your camera.  This post is:  Informative (0) | Funny (0) | Huh? Now that I think about it, I do tag photos in the camera. I guess I've never tried to delete one of them later because that was the first time I've ever had that happen.
