->> What is up with the little tethers on my new Op-Tech CPS camera strap. Is it for my Rolleiflex ? It's a great strap other than that. Don't think it will support a MK2 and 70-200. While I'm whining.... the mono pod pad is to big for either of my mono pods.
Looks like the same guy that engineered the MK3's original focus, put together the their new and improved, got to pay $100 for um, gift baskets.
Sorry if this has been discussed before.......... |

->> spot on about the monopod pad. useless until you take it to the cleaners and have them re-sew it. since pigs won't be flying anytime soon, that pad will remain useless.
strap is good though bryan. that thing would hold 50 pounds, no problem. those nylon-braided teathers aren't going anywhere. |

->> Mike,
They may be strong but the normal 1/2" wide strap sure would seam to be allot stronger. Unless I'm missing something ? |

| ->> Bryan- if you take the foam pad from the CPS monopod cover and replace it with a thicker pipe insulation then the cover will be tight. Of course, the cover is a little bulkier but I find the pipe insulation softer than the foam. |

->> On my green monopod cover - which was too big - I trimmed the foam with a razor blade till it fit. Then I purchased a stip of self adhesive velcro and affixed it to the cover where it overlapped. It's been that way for at least 4 seasons. Other than giving a little more care and attention when I pull the cover apart (so the velcro remains stuck) it operates as it should.
Took me a whole of about 3 minutes to alter. Not a real big deal. I use a Manfrotto 681b pod. The extra velcor cost maybe a buck fifty. |

| ->> Joe, I had some left over from putting it on a tripod years ago but you should be able to get the black pipe insulation from any of the hardware stores or Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I don't remember the diameter of the piece I used. |

->> I like that CPS strap on my mark II. very sturdy. I would buy one if they were available. They seem a little different than the standard op-tech. Anyone wants to sell one email me.
Agree on the monopod cover - doesn't fit either of mine and I'm not taking any time to make it work so it adorns the top of my file cabinet. |
