Anyone Using a Bogen 680b for Long Glass?

->> I've just become an NPS member and rented a 600 f/4 for an upcoming surfing comp in town.
I figured a good monopod would be a good investment for the future and I was checking out the Bogen 680b.
Thanks for any insight.

->> They are great but be sure to keep the little wrench that comes with the pod with you. When using mine with big glass the legs routinely start to creep and need to be snugged up.
All in all a great tool and value. |

| ->> To expand what Mark mentioned, an 8mm deep wall socket will do the trick as well. A nut driver or standard socket is too thick to fit |
