->> I had something very strange happen with the 1st image I took with my Canon 30D this morning. Take a look for yourself.

Has anyone ever experienced a malfunction like this with the 30D? Could it be a CF error? I worry that this could be the beginning of the end for what has been a pretty steady camera for me for the last year. |

->> To me it looks like a problem with the card or image transfer process. Like there was a glitch while writing to the card. Try another card or reformatting. Do you see this when reviewing in camera? Strange!
Also try using a different reader or transferring direct from the camera. |

->> It happened to one of my 30D cameras, once. It was a little different in that two separate images were in one file. The kicker was that I could see in the back of the camera, I could see it in PhotoMechanic, but Photoshop could not open the image. It gave me an invalid error, the program that created this file cannot be found.
I thought about sending the camera to repair, but it hasn't happened again. It has been about a year and my cameras get a lot of use. This past week I have shot over 6,000 images 2 weddings and a corporate job and they keep on ticking or clicking. Knock on wood! |

| ->> Looks like you didn't wind your film far enough, next time make sure you crank the film advance lever the full way before it ratchets back... |
