I Movie
Debra L Rothenberg, Photographer

->> I made a movie using on IMovie 08 and the D90-the first few times, I was able to save it as a Quick Time and now when I go to save it the same way, it won't let me (I can't click on save in Quick time as it is a light shade of gray)
Does anyone know what happened? (I have been trying to figure out Final Cut express with no luck)

->> Debra,

Have you kept all your assets (raw files) in the same place since you first exported to Quicktime? That can cause some disruption in the workflow.

I'll keep looking, but that's the only solution I have at the moment. I hope somebody on here perks up with an answer.

I think you need to have that in order to save video files as other types- but I may be mistaken.

->> Deb: When you are playing back in Quicktime, you are not in iMovie, and unless you have QuickTime Pro, you can only view QT-capable assets, not manipulate, edit, and save.

You've got to go back into iMovie to make your edits, and re-save/share/export from iMovie to make any changes.

->> it's not letting me save or export in IMovie either-all those are light shades of gray and I can't click on them. I was able to last week but can't seem to this week so something has changed
