| ->> Well, now that that's over I can go back to baseball until the season kicks into gear. I must say it was a very interesting draft. Not sure if anyone here follows the the draft and stats of the draftees but if even half of them pan out it should make for a very good season. There were a few surprises and even a couple disappointments salted with a touch of drama. I do hope this season plays out as well as it should. If not then I say the NFL should re-structure the salary under a baseline salary and go with a performance pay scale. THAT would make for some interesting sports. |

| ->> Sorry, before I get peppered, by over I mean the day one hype and not to say there isn't any talent left for Day Two there is a surprising amount of talent that was overlooked. Just to clarify. |

| ->> I have always found the draft hype and the talking heads that get paid to guess about something that they get right on the first 4-5 picks, and then a crap shoot after the first hour, all to make about as much sense as the old guys who hang out at McDonald's who talk about the weather....whatever is going to happen is goin' to happen, and all of the talk in the world is not going to change a thing. The NFL does a great job of showmanship...too bad they can't keep arena football alive. |

->> Well, to say there is no talent left after Day 1 is not necessarily true. As the pre-draft show pointed out on ESPN, Tom Brady went at No. 199 in the sixth round. Joe Montana went No. 82 in the third round. And many of the top 10 picks since just didn't pan out.
- Charles Rogers - 2nd overall, 2003
- Lawrence Phillips - 6th overall, 1996
- Ryan Sims - 9th overall, 2002
- Rick Mirer - 2nd overall, 1993
- Tim Couch - 1st overall, 1999
- Akili Smith - 3rd overall, 1990
- Todd Marinovich - 24th overall, 1991
- David Carr - 1st overall, 2002
- Ryan Leaf - 2nd overall, 1998
- Steve Emtman - 1st overall, 1992 |

->> Andrew - one of my high school classmates just signed with them; careful what you say ;)
I'm just hoping my Bills made the right choices. I'm a little concerned with some of them, but time will tell. |

| ->> Kevin - still does not change the facts. At best, I give the Lions 3 wins this year. It is not the upcoming season that I have hope for, but rather the 2010 season. |
