Actually may make some sense; they need to get enough advertising to make it pencil. |

| ->> I'm amazed they are trying this. The Orange County Register, the flagship newspaper of Freedom Communications which owns the Colorado Springs Gazette tried something similar to this. It was called the OC Post and it tanked big time... |

->> Probable outcome: Another tanking IF they just re-run shorter versions of the same content in the larger paper.
I grimaced at the publisher's cheerful statement: "This is meant to be a 10-minute publication people can read while they're having a bagel."
You know, it never occurred to me how much extra wight I've been lugging around when I get up from breakfast and take my newspaper with me. Thank God there are bright boys like him out there, making sure the attention-challenged public doesn't get overwhelmed by too much information.
Next up: Ink 1/2, for those who can't eat a whole bagel. All the ads and even less news, because who really wants to be informed when there are so many other distractions like Twitter, My Space and Facebook? |

->> Hey Jeff,
That is just what was done with the OC Post. Most of the news was just re-runs from the Register. |
