->> I'm amazed they are trying this. The Orange County Register, the flagship newspaper of Freedom Communications which owns the Colorado Springs Gazette tried something similar to this. It was called the OC Post and it tanked big time...

I grimaced at the publisher's cheerful statement: "This is meant to be a 10-minute publication people can read while they're having a bagel."

You know, it never occurred to me how much extra wight I've been lugging around when I get up from breakfast and take my newspaper with me. Thank God there are bright boys like him out there, making sure the attention-challenged public doesn't get overwhelmed by too much information.

Next up: Ink 1/2, for those who can't eat a whole bagel. All the ads and even less news, because who really wants to be informed when there are so many other distractions like Twitter, My Space and Facebook?
