->> Hey guys:
Thanks for the nice notes, both on here and via email.
It was a fun project to work on, and as I said in the update, I wouldn't have been able to pull this off without the help of Wes Pope (from whom I "lifted" the original idea in the first place). He was very gracious with his time and input.
Same goes for the editors and such at my paper who supported me off the bat and made it all come together. Very much a team effort.
I'm going to continue this series for myself, because I feel like I'm barely at a start. I'm really happy and proud of what made it into the paper, of course, but I do feel like I have a long way to go before this project really reaches the level I feel it can.
I've gotten a few questions about technical aspects and such. I'd be happy to share more info, if anyone would like. It really wasn't all that hard once I got past the testing phase. Anyway, happy to pass along what I learned. As I said, Wes was sooo helpful, and it behooves me to pay that forward ... as it were.
Cheers,
- gerry - |
