The book, The Bang Bang Club, being made into a movie

->> This may be old news to some of you but I just found out that Joao Silva's book, The Bang Bang Club, is currently being filmed for a feature-length movie. It appears that Ryan Phillippe will be playing the part of Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Carter and if you Google Phillippe's name and "Bang Bang Club" there are some cheesy fan websites that have some still photos from the set.
Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it so that those who appreciated the book as much as I did can look forward the the movie's release. For anyone who hasn't read the book, I encourage you to do so before the movie comes out. It's a great read and you can find copies pretty cheap on Amazon. |
