World Press Photo Interviews
Alan Herzberg, Photographer
Elm Grove | WI | USA | Posted: 11:10 PM on 04.07.09
->> I'm hoping this isn't duplicating an earlier thread - I searched and couldn't find one.

The World Press website has a page where they show their award-winning photos from 2007 and 2008, but the kicker is that if you click on the thumbnail of a photo, it brings up a page with the photo and an interview with the photographer who took the photo, explaining the story behind the image. It's really fascinating stuff. The interviews range from a couple of minutes to more than 10 minutes. What comes through in virtually every interview is the intense passion that each photographer has for what he does.

I haven't seen these before.

I love these kinds of stories behind the stories. Tim Clayton's behind the scenes story might be particularity insightful to many people here...
