| ->> I checked in "The Guide," but could not find anything on the Charlotte Knights. I am traveling from Georgia on Wednesday for a couple Triple A baseball games at the Knights' stadium and wanted to get some insight on this venue. Do any of you guys regularly shoot here? Also, I will have a lot of free time during the day. Any suggestions of places around town that I should definitely check out? I have bever been to Charlotte. Thanks for the help! |

->> If you don't get enough baseball at the Knights games, there's the Kannapolis Intimidators north of Charlotte off I-85. They're a White Sox Class A affiliate with a nice little stadium with 11 home dates this month.
Other Charlotte attractions include the Carowinds theme park on the south end, much closer to SC; several very good restaurants in the downtown area (but, as Chuck said, it's a bit of a drive from where you'll be); and the raptor center and the U.S. National Whitewater Center, both on the north side.

| ->> town is actually Fort Mill, SC, about 3 miles into South Carolina from Charlotte. To get to uptown Charlotte is about a 20-30 min drive depending on time of day. |

->> As far as food goes, I don't know if it is still there from when I lived there, but the Cajun Queen was awesome. A house converted into a restaurant and good food.
Of course, you have to find a good Carolina style BBQ joint, that serves the cider vinegar style, not the SC mustard style (yuck) Boss Hogg's about 30 minutes north of Charlotte in Sherrills Ford (i-77 and exit 39, then 10 miles west on Hwy 150, on the right, I wired their electricity when I was an electricians assistant in high school!) is good...if its still there. God, its been so long....
But, I know there has to be a good bbq in town, so Urbanspoon.com it! |

| ->> Press gate just left of ticket pick up window, Press work room on third floor, elevator on right just inside gate. Elevator actually has an operator, just tell her press room. Usually just Jimmy Johns' subs as far as eats. Elevator down to field level. Photo pit at the end of each dugout. Watch the first base side the ground crew will run you over in the 4th inning. Enjoy. |

| ->> Jason, never shot at night there, sorry. By the way, Rock Hill is south of Fort Mill, and further from Charlotte. Slight chance I'll see you there, if not, good shooting! |

| ->> Charlotte is a really nice city. Jonathan and I went to a pretty decent hot dog place in the downtown area, if I can remember the name I'll send it to you. |

->> Jason,
The Knights' stadium lights are pretty "spotty"; it's particularly dark around home plate. For a change, you might try shooting from the stands for a nice clean background. The Knights don't draw very well except for Saturday nights, so you can get a spot close to the field. |
