->> Well,
As I stated on my application, I want to get out of the "RUT". (Repeatable Underwhelming Torture). Explained: I was shooting basketball and every shot was the same Ball, Drive, Layup. Next game, Ball, Drive Layup. Next game etc etc.
Now with baseball season, Hitter, Pitcher. Bat on ball etc. With SSA, I have the opportunity to shoot differently and try new things without being on a deadline per-say. There will be deadlines but my photos are not for a news story. ie, if I try something new, and its not right 1) I can get critiques on what could make it better and 2) it doesn't get published and I can try something new. No Harm Done but Tons of Learning....
Second and probably most important...I get a chance to work with more lighting and remotes. My Features are blah!!!!! and I know there is a great photo inside there that could be brought out with better lighting. I am hoping and going to make it my personal goal to get to all the lighting sessions I can. I want to understand this mythical beast called (shhhh, I got to be quite) light and flash.
I can't wait

->> I too am looking forward to the Lighting & Remote Classes as well as the nightly Critiques. I am usually my on worst critic but with someone who has ALOT more knowledge than me telling me it SUCKS at least they can give me some insight on how or what I could do to make a better image.
I am very much looking forward to one of the sessions at the Horse Races hopefully using remotes.
See you all there, I am arriving on Tuesday afternoon, so whoever else is arriving early let me know where the Pre-Party is going to be, my cell phone is on my member page. |

| ->> Your "RUT" will get a kick in the butt! The best thing is seeing other peoples work from the same event. |

->> I will second Matt Brown's statement. I love seeing the results from a different shooters perspective at the same event.
That and the critique comments is what I am looking forward to a lot. It is extremely informative and always entertaining. If my photo gets on the wall for more than 2 to 3 seconds I will be happy. |
